Mass. & NY. Of interest, one of the supporting depositions by Augustus Ellis mentions that he left his master and went to the State of New York.

Court of Common Pleas, August Term, Ad 1832.
            On this third day of September AD 1832, personally appeared in open court before the Justices of the Court of common Pleas, now sitting Ezekiel Austin, a resident of Exeter in the County and State aforesaid, aged seventy three years, who being first duly sworn according to law, doth, on his oath, make the following declaration in order to obtain the benefit of the act of Congress passed June 7th 1832. That he entered in the service of the United States under the following named officers, and served as herein stated.   That he was born at said Exeter, on the first day of May AD 1759, and resided in Exeter until he was in the eighteenth year of his age, when he went to the town of Jerico now called [?] in New York State where the enlisted into the service of the United States; and that he lived at said Jerico about ten years, and then returned to said Exeter in Rhode Island where he has ever since resided. He has no record of his age. That in the spring of the year 1776 he enlisted at said Jerico, he being then seventeen years of age, into a company commanded by Captain Root in Col. Sackett’s regiment. We were mustered at Pittsfield and marched from thence to New York and were stationed there until the enemy took possession of that place, we retreated from New York to White Plains, where we staid until our time of our service had expired. That he served under this enlistment the term of five months and then returned to said town of Jerico, and labored until the spring following when he enlisted into a company commanded by Capt. Douglass and went to Pittsfield where Capt. Smith took the command of the company and Col. Rensselaer commanded the Regiment. We were stationed at Albany and were employed in building forts for the term of six months. After serving there six months, he returned to said Jerico and then he enlisted immediately after into a company commanded by the same Capt. Smith in col. Simon’s Regiment that he was employed for two months in taking care of some Continental horses, that were under the charge of Capt. Fairman, that he then joined the company and went to Bennington; that he was in Bennington battle, and at White Creek. That he served four months under this enlistment, and was discharged at Saratoga, That in the spring or summer following he enlisted under Capt. Douglass in Col. Warner’s Regiment and served the term of three months. That he was at the taking of General Burgoyne at said Saratoga, making eighteen months service by enlistments. That he has no discharges and knows of no person living that served with him or whose testimony he can procure to prove his services, or any part of them.
            He hereby relinquishes ever claim whatever to a pension or annuity except the present, and declares that his name is not on the pension roll of the agency of any state. (Signed with his mark) Ezekiel Austin
