Pension Application for William Kisner

On this
[blank] day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and thirty [two is crossed out] personally appeared in open court before the
Judges of the Court of Common Pleas of the County of Lewis, now sitting William
Kisner a resident of the Town of Harrisburgh in the County of Lewis and
State of New York aged seventy five years who being first duly sworn according
to law doth on his oath make the following declaration in order to obtain the
benefit of the Act of Congress passed June 7, 1832.
That he
entered the service under the following named officers and served as herein
stated.
In the year
seventeen hundred and seventy-nine, sometime in the spring he enlisted under
Captain Putnam, Lieut. Schaffer for nine months entered the service
at the time and served during said term and was discharged sometime in the
winter following; that he served in the regiment commanded by Colonel Willett
in the New York [Militia crossed out] State Troops.
In the year
seventeen hundred and eighty he served nine months under the same officers
in the same regiment.
Also, in
the year seventeen hundred and eighty one he served under the officers above
mentioned for the term of nine months.
In the year
seventeen hundred and eighty-two he enlisted under Captain French and served
for four months. Entered the service sometime in the summer and was discharged
sometime in the fall.
The above
service was rendered on the Mohawk River. He marched on to the Delaware
River and Susquehanna River, was at Fort Stanwix, was in the Battle at Johnstown;
Mayjor Andrus Finck was a regular officer with the troops with which he served.
That he
resided at the time he entered the service at Fort Plains Montgomery County,
New York.
He has no
documentary evidence and that he knows of no person except Lawrence Blasure
whose affidavit is hereto annexed whose testimony he can procure who can testify
to his service.
He relinquishes
every claim whatever to a pension or annuity except the present and declares
that his name is not on the pension roll of the agency of andy state.
