Morrison's Pensions

Pay Roll of A Party of Men Capt. Kaiser Commanded June 12th 1777.
By James F. Morrison

On March 15, 1780, a small raiding party attacked several small settlements in or near the present day Town of Manheim, Herkimer County.
One of the homes raided was the home of Captain John Keyser of Colonel Jacob Klock’s Regiment of Tryon County Militia (Second Regiment).  In ransacking his house the enemy found various military papers.
The following pay roll is one of those documents.  It lists the men drafted from various companies of Colonel Klock’s Regiment, unfortunately we do not know what duty they had been called up for but most of them were called up for at least 18 days.
