    Death Notice for Capt. Francis Putman

                At Tripes Hill, in this, on the 23d ult. Capt. Francis Putman, in the 83d year of his age. Capt. P. was always esteemed an honest and worthy citizen. He was one of the few remaining Patriots of the Revolution. — He was extensively known as the keeper of a -public house on Tripes Hill, having been a tavern keeper at that place since the year 1776, a period of 58 years.
