            On the twentieth day of Sept in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two personally appeared before us the Court now sitting of Common Pleas in and for the County of Montgomery—
            Myndert Wemple a resident of the town of Johnstown since his birth aged sixty nine years, in July 7th last past, who being first duly sworn according to law, doth on his oath make the following declaration in order to obtain the benefit of the act of Congress passed June 7th 1832. That he entered the service of the United States under the following named officers, and served as herein stated [?] That he was enrolled in a company commanded by Capt. John Wemple and under Colonel Volkert Veeders regiment of Militia and did duty for four months in guarding against the enemy in the year 1781 at Caughnawaga and that in October 1781 he was ordered out and went to Johnstown to bury the dead, next morning which battle was called the Hall battle otherwise called Willet’s Battle and that he was taken a prisoner in the year 1780 by the British and discharged by Sir John Johnson on his promising to joining the British which he did not fulfil and that the was stationed one season through at Veeder’s block house at Caughnawaga to guard against the enemy and that he was frequently called out until the close of the Revolution, and that he has kept himself in readiness from the time arrived to the age of sixteen at a moment’s Warning in Compliance to the requisitions of his superior officers as also in conformity to the laws of the United States, and the Resolution and laws passed by the State of New York.             On this tenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight personally appeared before me Abraham Morrell a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in and for said County a Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in and for said County and of the degree of Counsellor at Law in the Supreme Court of said State Catharine Wemple a resident of the town of Mohawk State and County aforesaid aged sixty seven years who being first duly sworn according to law doth on her oath make the following declaration in order to obtain the benefit of the provision made by the act of Congress passed July 4th 1836 and the joint resolution of July 7th 1838.
            That she is the widow of Myndert B. Wemple who was a pensioner of the United States under the act of Congress of June 7th 1832. She further declares that she was married to the said Myndert B. Wemple on the 20th day of December—in the year 1790—that her husband the aforesaid Myndert B. Wemple died on the tenth day of July in the year of our Lord 1838 and that she has remained a widow ever since that period as will more fully appear by reference to the proof hereto annexed. She further declareds that she does not know of any proof of their marriage except a record contained in the church record of the Caughnawaga Church then under the charge of the Rev. Thomas Romyne who married them and now in possession of the Rev. Abraham Van Horne the successor of the Rev. Mr. Romayne. (Signed with her mark) Catharine Wemple
